Brad Zimmerman has been an actor, director, and musical arts instructor in greater Kansas City for more than 30 years. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Chestnut Fine Arts Center in Olathe.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kansas and a Master’s Degree from Baker University. He was a vocal music teacher in Olathe public schools for 10 years and an instructor in the Music Education Department at the University of Kansas for over 5 years; he has been music director at most Kansas City professional theatres including The New Theatre, American Heartland, Unicorn, Coterie, JCCC, Quality Hill Playhouse, Theatre in the Park, and Barn Players.
He founded the Chestnut Fine Arts Center in 1998, which has grown to over 1,500 season subscribers in its 21-year history. Zimmerman is the founder and manager of the Dickens Carolers – Kansas City’s only professional Christmas caroling company. The Carolers have achieved national recognition, and in 2020, will celebrate their 37th year in business.
